About Me

Opal Shipley is a Career intern and peer career coach for OWU Career Connection. She works with Leigh to complete tasks for upcoming events, make marketing materials and complete resume reviews for incoming seniors. She also works individually with students to revise their resumes as well as create new ones for specific job applications and internship opportunities.

Opal is a sophomore studying public health and chemistry on the pre-med track, she hopes to one day become an outreach physician treating unhoused and underserved communities in urban areas. Outside of classes she also works in the admissions office as a tour guide, is vice president of Terpsicorps, a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and the president of the OWU chapter of MEDLIFE, a medical outreach non-profit focused on bringing healthcare access to underserved communities throughout Latin America and Africa.
