Exploratory Advising

Classroom Presentations
Career Connection staff are available to conduct major/industry specific presentations or lead hands-on workshops on a variety of topics including Resume, LinkedIn, Strengths, Interviewing, and more! Career Catalysts can also fill in if the instructor cannot teach a class due to travel or other conflicts. Complete the below form and we will be in touch!
Career Catalyst Support
Our team has 4 Career Catalysts covering 8 Career Communities who serve as industry experts and connects students with specific opportunities, resources, employers, internships, and Alumni! Partner with a Career Catalyst to:
- Refer students for career support
- Partner on a program/initiative, class presentation, or resource
Alumni Connections
Check out the Alumni Partners Program! We have 80+ Alumni dedicated to helping students through 1:1 interactions, class presentations, mentorship, and more. You can play an essential role in this initiative by:
- Referring students for career exploration and development
- Inviting Alumni Partners to serve as guest speakers and panelists
- Recommending additional Alumni or letting us know if someone is unresponsive
OWU Strengths Assessment
Did you know that we partnered with HR to provide Strengths codes to the entire OWU Community? We encourage faculty and staff, along with students, to complete the assessment. You can play an essential role by:
- Encouraging students you meet with or in the classroom to complete the Strengths Assessment
- Share information with students/advisees and complete the assessment below!
