- Refine your career goals using Design Thinking principles
- Complete a robust shadowing/informational interview experience
- Come away with a revised resume and a LinkedIn Profile
- Gain further insights on your strengths, interests, and goals
- Learn fundamentals for interviewing and career/program preparation
- Receive individualized support from Career Connection!
- All years welcome: (MANY First Year students, Seniors, and everyone in-between has taken the course)!
- Anyone unsure about their career path and looking for hands-on support in exploring options
- “I expected to understand what I wanted to do after college better. I did and have gotten an internship in a field related to my major.”
- “This class is great for students who aren’t really sure what they want to do yet or who don’t often use Career Connection. It’s a great way to gain insight and connections.”
- “Before the course I was looking at my career very narrowly. After the course I changed the perspectives of my goals, I mean now I am considering several paths to get to my final destination/career.”
- “All of the assignments, like a resume and prototyping, are things I wanted to do but because it was an assignment it made me more inclined to do them, which I really liked.
- “This is a great course for students who are looking to improve their professional look by writing a resume, being able to interview well, along with other things. I recommend this to everyone because they are things that every student should work through and learn during their college experience.”
