Ready to go beyond the classroom and experience the real world of research? Ohio Wesleyan’s 10-week Summer Science Research Program (SSRP) offers you the chance to do just that – working side-by-side with faculty mentors on exciting, hands-on projects in many scientific (and related!) fields.

Whether you’re curious about chemistry, fascinated by physics, mesmerized by microbiology, passionate about psychological data collection, or have been inspired by any of your faculty members – SSRP is your chance to explore big questions, develop practical research skills, and make meaningful discoveries – not just run lab exercises from a textbook.

Show Off Your Work
At the end of the summer, you’ll present your findings at the Patricia Belt Conrades Summer Science Research Symposium, a celebration where students showcase their work in a professional poster session. It’s your chance to explain your research to peers, faculty, and visitors – and to see just how far you’ve come.

Build Your Future
Many SSRP students go on to present at regional and national scientific conferences and even publish in professional journals. This kind of experience doesn’t just boost your resume – it can launch your career in science, medicine, research, or wherever your curiosity takes you.
